Village Fete

Goudhurst Village Fete – this Saturday 9th June

Come and visit our stall at the village fete on Saturday June 9th where our face painters will transform you into fairies, monsters, butterflies and Spidermen. There will be a second hand children’s clothes rail and limited tickets on sale for a Treasure Hunt over in our woodland area next to the pre-school where you can win a prize.

Kalmora Spa Evening

Kalmora Spa Evening

Thank you to everyone who came and supported us at the Kalmora Spa evening last week. It was an extremely chilled and relaxing fundraiser and so good to catch up properly with you all.

Great that so many of you bought raffle tickets too! The lucky winners can pick up their prizes from the pre-school.

Musicians Wanted

If you or someone you know who can play an instrument or who is a musician of any kind can spare half an hour each week or every other week to pop into the pre-school setting we would love to hear from you. We think it would be lovely for someone to demonstrate their playing, inspire our children and bring a little more music into our lives. Please contact Alison Clarke on alisongvp@gmail.com / 07958 187366 if you can help.

Horse Racing Night – THANK YOU

HORSE RACE NIGHT thank you to those who came and those who couldn’t but made puddings and bought horses and jockeys. The night was a cracking success – such a great atmosphere and soooooo much fun.

We have raised a lot of money for the pre-school (exact figure to come) so all the hard work and effort totally paid off. Thanks to the Happy Apples staff (and their other halves) who gave up their Saturday night to work hard taking bets, serving tables, working the bar and clearing up, Tim Widdowson for being hilarious and whipping everyone into action, Ed Railton for donating the sound system and lights, Will Knight and Laura Bellhouse for the decorations and all our local sponsors: Star and Eagle, Weeks Bakery, Kalmora Spa, Burgess Stores, The Vine, The Milkhouse, Hamerton + Jones and Park Farms who donated 10Kg of mince and Jayne Russell our new Co Chair for being utterly brilliant working out how the night should be run and taking care of the entire catering. An amazing team effort.

Thinking of joining us?

If you would like your child(ren) to join us this year and your family become a part of our pre-school community then please speak to our manager Jo Galloway on 01580 212 777 / 07950 688611 / joannegvp@gmail.com before downloading an enrolment form from this site to ensure we have the sessions available you would like for your child(ren). Or simply get in touch for a friendly chat to find out more.

Easter Bunny Bounce Sponsorship Money

On Thursday 30th March we held our annual Easter Bunny Bounce, Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bonnet Competition at the pre-school. There was a bouncy castle, space hoppers and mini trampolines for the children to raise their sponsorship money on, a  bonnet parade and an egg hunt in the playground. If you still have sponsorship money to bring in to the pre-school please do so asap – thanks!

All money raised will go towards our new Woodland Experience Area

Volunteers Needed

If you have the time and inclination to lend a helping hand once in a while then we are compiling a list of volunteers whom we can call upon to assist us. It could involve accompanying the children up to the Primary School for outings, filling in for absent staff when needed, or any other contribution you would like to make (any musicians or crafts people amongst you parents?)

Many of you ticked the volunteer box on your child’s enrolment form, but we are now formalising this – thank you!

Wine Tasting Fundraiser Thank You!

Thanks to everyone who helped, contributed or attended our Wine Tasting event on Saturday 7th May. It was a great success, a lovely balmy evening and Victoria Aldwickle was amazing, engaging and fun. The feedback has been fantastic and we raised over £700 to go towards an awning for our decking to protect the children from the elements and allow free flow play.
