Events And Fundraising

As a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) we rely on fundraising to help update and replace our resources. We will be looking for volunteers for individual events, and permanently as part of a dedicated sub committee, to help organise and run our fundraising and social events. If you would like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Perhaps you could help with setting up for an event, making drinks for a coffee morning or baking a delicious homemade cake. Or maybe you’ve got some great fundraising ideas and would love the opportunity to put them into practice!

Easter Bunny Bounce Sponsorship Money

On Thursday 30th March we held our annual Easter Bunny Bounce, Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bonnet Competition at the pre-school. There was a bouncy castle, space hoppers and mini trampolines for the children to raise their sponsorship money on, a  bonnet parade and an egg hunt in the playground. If you still have sponsorship money to bring in to the pre-school please do so asap – thanks!

All money raised will go towards our new Woodland Experience Area

Wine Tasting Fundraiser Thank You!

Thanks to everyone who helped, contributed or attended our Wine Tasting event on Saturday 7th May. It was a great success, a lovely balmy evening and Victoria Aldwickle was amazing, engaging and fun. The feedback has been fantastic and we raised over £700 to go towards an awning for our decking to protect the children from the elements and allow free flow play.

GO APE SUCCESS!

Thank you to everyone – staff, parents, participants, cheeky monkeys and of course Jonny and Georgie at Go Ape – for making the sponsored fancy dress Tree Top Adventure such a success this year. Everything ran smoothly, the tea party looked and tasted splendid, there were some genius costumes, lots of energy and a whopping £2,800 has been counted so far with more funds to come in.

Forests and Bluebells

The outing was fantastic and the children loved every minute. They climbed trees, jumped over streams, hid in forest dens, amazed at the bluebells, squelched in mud, held worms (yuk!), ate their lunch listening to the birds, watched their hot chocolate being boiled from a homemade fire and let themselves fly through the fresh air on a rope swing. Thank you so much to Mr Noah’s Pre-school and especially to Peter whose knowledge, care and expertise made our morning so very enjoyable.

Wine Tasting Evening raised £528!

Our wine tasting evening was a great success with about 40 of you braving the wind and rain to join us for an evening of fun. Many thanks again to Victoria our host, whose in-depth knowledge and repartee gave the event its vibe and momentum and taught a lot of us about processes and regions we would never otherwise get to know.

Thanks as well to all the local businesses who supported us by donating raffle prizes: The Vine, The Goudhurst Inn, Viva Hair and Beauty, Goudhurst Village Stores, The Star & Eagle, Kalmora Spa and Goupie.

Watch our notice board for the next fundraiser!
