Kalmora Spa Evening

Kalmora Spa Evening

Thank you to everyone who came and supported us at the Kalmora Spa evening last week. It was an extremely chilled and relaxing fundraiser and so good to catch up properly with you all.

Great that so many of you bought raffle tickets too! The lucky winners can pick up their prizes from the pre-school.

Musicians Wanted

If you or someone you know who can play an instrument or who is a musician of any kind can spare half an hour each week or every other week to pop into the pre-school setting we would love to hear from you. We think it would be lovely for someone to demonstrate their playing, inspire our children and bring a little more music into our lives. Please contact Alison Clarke on / 07958 187366 if you can help.

Thinking of joining us?

If you would like your child(ren) to join us this year and your family become a part of our pre-school community then please speak to our manager Jo Galloway on 01580 212 777 / 07950 688611 / before downloading an enrolment form from this site to ensure we have the sessions available you would like for your child(ren). Or simply get in touch for a friendly chat to find out more.

Volunteers Needed

If you have the time and inclination to lend a helping hand once in a while then we are compiling a list of volunteers whom we can call upon to assist us. It could involve accompanying the children up to the Primary School for outings, filling in for absent staff when needed, or any other contribution you would like to make (any musicians or crafts people amongst you parents?)

Many of you ticked the volunteer box on your child’s enrolment form, but we are now formalising this – thank you!

Christmas Party

Santa is on his way! Our Christmas party will be held on the last day of term, Friday 18th December from 10.30 a.m. There will be plenty of games and fun, party food and a visit from you know who!

Nativity at St Mary’s

This year our nativity pageant will be held in St Mary’s Church on Tuesday 15th December at 10 .30 a.m. Extended family and friends are all welcome to come and watch the children in costume singing and ‘performing’ and there are refreshments provided for everyone to mingle afterwards and chat over a mince pie.

If you are interested to see what we are all about then why not pop along on Friday 27th November either between 9.30 – 11.30 a.m. or 1.30 – 3.30 p.m. You can speak to the staff, see our children enjoying themselves and take a look at the kinds of activities, resources and provisions we have. There will be refreshments and your children can stay and play.

Thank you to everyone who came to the Halloween Party on Saturday and to all the staff and helpers who made the event run smoothly and so much fun. There is a second winner of the pumpkin competition to be announced but this time YOU VOTE – go to our Facebook page (thread is on the bottom of the website home page) to view all the entrants and simply ‘like’ the one(s) you think deserve to receive a prize. The winner will be announced on Sunday 15th November.

Thank you to everyone – staff, parents, participants, cheeky monkeys and of course Jonny and Georgie at Go Ape – for making the sponsored fancy dress Tree Top Adventure such a success this year. Everything ran smoothly, the tea party looked and tasted splendid, there were some genius costumes, lots of energy and a whopping £2,800 has been counted so far with more funds to come in.
